Its intuitive interface and comprehensive editing tools, including AI-powered enhancements, make it valuable for capturing and sharing life's moments. A comprehensive editing appĪdobe Lightroom for iPad stands out as a powerful app, seamlessly catering to the needs of photographers and videographers at all skill levels. Moreover, it serves as a treasure trove of curated presets and filters, catering to free and premium users with the choice of opting for free presets or creating and saving their own for future edits. The app's built-in camera is equipped with manual controls, RAW capture, and HDR capabilities-raising the bar for photography. Lightroom also features a healing tool that removes imperfections, while sliders control clarity, texture, grain, and vignette in both videos and photos. AI-driven Recommended presets simplify the filter selection process, while the masking feature empowers users to make precise edits to subjects or skies within their photos. Meanwhile, the Lens Blur feature adds an aesthetic bokeh effect, and Adaptive presets allow quick and efficient portrait retouching or transformative edits to skies. A single tap activates the Auto feature to boost your photos instantly. Lightroom's standout feature is its AI-powered enhancements, designed to save you time while delivering impeccable results. Additionally, unsubscribing or deleting the app results in the deletion of photos from cloud storage, underscoring the importance of understanding the app's data management policies. This decision may not align with users who prefer local storage solutions. Lightroom, in its quest for cloud integration, mandates the upload of media assets to cloud storage, eliminating the option for a local gallery. However, no app is without its drawbacks. The inclusion of RAW editing, seamless synchronization across devices, and a generous 100GB of cloud storage further solidify this editor as a robust choice for serious photographers. From AI-powered enhancements for faster searches to over 200 premium presets and precision tools, the Premium version is tailored for those seeking professional-grade editing capabilities. At the very least, Windows Phone - which did have some very good points, especially the ones manufactured by Nokia which had excellent cameras, great screens and were nigh indestructible - would have succeeded. While it is a free app, opting for Adobe Lightroom for iPad's Premium version unlocks a suite of advanced tools. And for that you should be grateful, because otherwise the massive computing shift from Windows - which literally had 97% of the market - to alternative platforms like iOS would have never happened. Never forget: the market isn't filled with people like you. M1 chips being available isn't going to change their behavior. You still have people using their Macs from 2012 or 2014, are very proud of that fact, and state that such was a major reason why they chose Mac over Windows in the first place. so the hundreds of millions of people with Intel Macs are going to go out and buy M1 Macs in 2 years? While you may wish to believe this, the reality is that 90% of the population isn't going to stop using good tech that meets their needs just because something better is immediately available. My guess is when Intel has iMacs and Mac Pros on Apple Silicon, it will be a year or two after that, at the most.Īll right. I doubt they will do that anytime soon - subscription income is good, easy money.Īdobe at some point will look at metrics data and see that the amount of Intel-Mac users on subscription does not cover the costs of maintaining x86 support. Many of us Intel Mac users still have years to go before we upgrade our systems. I'm rolling the dice Adobe doesn't do that. I just bought a 2020 iMac (due to Windows x86 compatibility) and the one thing that could really come back to haunt me is if Adobe decided to stop supporting us Intel Mac users and pull down Lightroom and Photoshop and go all Apple Silicon.
